“8 Ways to Survive Election Month”

  1. “Vote , but only if you feel passionate enough”

Yes the most important thing you can do on November 3 is vote , considering the ups and downs of the race will feel less bumpy if you’ve done your part, but also don’t beat yourself up if this year’s election doesn’t excite you because of who’s running. It’s your choice

  2. “Still try to make it a regular month”

I get it, there’s no such things as normal days anymore, but still try to maintain routines, eat breakfast, stay hydrated, and exercise

  3. “Remember that the other side isn’t evil”

The thought that everyone who disagrees with your viewpoint is just demonic and ridiculous, politics don’t define a person’s character.

  4. “Avoid arguments even if who you vote for isn’t elected”

Some things are very sensitive subjects for some, which means certain conversations will be off limits even with those you love

  5. “Meditate”

I promise, you are ten percent happier and stress free when you do this. If you suffer from anxiety mediation is highly recommended.

  6. “Practice deep breathing exercises”

Inhale for a count of four seconds , hold your breath for seven, and exhale for 8 seconds. The idea is that it helps reoxygenate blood, but also helps keep you calm when feeling anxious.

  7. “Be aware of what shows and websites your watching”

Let’s be honest we know many shows that are mostly negative opinion based, and not actual facts. Be wary of the facts of the election , but don’t confuse the two.

  8. “Tune out for a while”

Do something mindless and don’t feel guilty about it, take a bath or read a magazine...whatever mindless means to you , your brain deserves a break give
